Causes of the industrial revolution
There are three major causes of the Industrial Revolution. According to the Industrial Revolution powerpoint we talked about and took notes on, railroads were the first major buisness oppurtunity in the United States, and people could now travel farther than ever before. According to the graph titled 'Population of largest US Cities 1850-1900', alot of people moved out of rural areas and into big cities, which created a need for a new system and style of labor and jobs. Railroads also aided in the development of other industries, because they made it easier to transport goods, supplies and workers. The Invention of the Steam Engine was another cause of the IndustrialRevolution, because it created a new source of energy and transportation. The final major cause of the industrial revolution was Advances in Technology. The Growth of resources and new international time standard made it easier to ship prouducts and supplies to all over the country, and new inventions such as the telegraph aided in communication.
